The studio is a space to translate inherited histories, traumas and present day impacts into visual forms that restore agency and voice. By centering the lived experiences of Caribbean East Indian people and the dignity of the common man, this series of paintings seek to heal ruptures between past and present while inviting viewers into empathetic attention.
